The 2008 FWSA Convention will be held June 5-8, 2008 in Bellevue, Washington at the Meydenbauer Center and hosted by the Northwest Ski Club Council. Lodging will be provided at the Westin Bellevue. For more information [Click Here].
FWSA has over 160 affiliated ski clubs located throughout 10 regional councils in Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, and Washington. Convention delegates are the leaders and decision-makers of these ski clubs and are attending the Convention for information to plan their 2007-2008 ski trips. The bidding process for selection of future domestic and international Far West Ski Week(s) will also be conducted at the Convention. We are again planning the Travel Expo on Saturday morning for delegate one-on-one meetings with industry representatives.
To receive a booth space for the Far West Silent Auction, your company simply needs to make a prize donation to the Silent Auction -- THERE IS NO PAYMENT FEE REQUIRED. Companies with donations of $1,250 or more in value receive a booth. Donations under a $1,250 value are also appreciated and will be used for door prizes. Industry participants receive publicity through the Far West website and publications, as well as council and ski club newsletters. Your company receives two complimentary registration packets (includes all meals) for representatives to attend the weekend's events. If you are unable to attend, but wish to make a donation, volunteers will distribute your marketing materials. In addition, FWSA offers a Sponsorship Program for the Convention (see enclosed information).
Information regarding room reservations and a preliminary schedule of events is posted on this website. If you are planning on attending, we highly recommend that you make your rooms reservations immediately, because we anticipate that our room block will fill early. To participate in this year's programs, please fill in the enclosed form and return with your donation certificates. Remember that an early response will result in more extensive publicity through our publications and promotions, however, the deadline to reserve a booth space is April 15, 2008. Any donations received after this date will be accepted on a space available basis. As a non-profit organization, the FWSA appreciates your support in our effort to provide valuable programs for our membership and the ski industry through our fund-raising endeavors.
