WHAT TO EXPECT AT A FAR WEST CONVENTION
Each year, the Far West Ski Association Convention is held in late May or early June. Activities at the Convention include:
A Silent Auction on Friday night offers up to 100 ski trips in North America and Europe at bargain prices.
The follow-up Travel Expo on Saturday morning provides an opportunity to meet with resort and travel representatives.
- Fun activities including a pub crawl on Thursday evening. Friday activities include your choice between golf and tennis tournaments, or something special from the local scene.
- Interaction with ski celebrities and industry representatives. Talk with Olympic racers, ski area owners, tour operators, US Forest Service directors and National Ski Areas Association representatives.
- Saturday seminars on interesting topics related to ski club operations and public affairs.
Outstanding speakers are invited to discuss issues as they relate to skiers and clubs.
- Saturday night Awards Banquet and Dance. Awards are presented for outstanding service by individual members of FWSA and members of the industry and media.
- Sunday business meeting and election of officers.
We invite you to attend the annual FWSA Convention and enjoy the camaraderie of an association of over 170 clubs in 10 western states. All clubs and members share much in common including an interest in a wide variety of snowsport, athletic and social activities, club management issues, ski racing and travel. Become an active participant in an organization that is truly "The Voice of the Western Skier."
