Richard Lubin, the Snowboarding Chiropractor and two-time winner of the FWSA Safety Award, has agreed to volunteer as new FWSA Safety Committee Chair.
Richard has been instrumental in providing Bay Area Council with the highest quality support for their safety program and has been a contributor of excellent articles to the FWSA annual addition of the Skier's Guide. He has now agreed to take that effort and expand it to the entire Association.
Richard has extensive plans on how he might help better coordinate and communicate FWSA safety efforts at the club, council and FWSA levels. He has planned a more aggressive effort in newsletter writings and keeping up with and publishing safety news. He is also planning on expanding safety discussions at the annual FWSA Convention, either as part of the PA program or as a stand-alone panel session. He will provide, through Council contacts, pertinent safety information that can be utilized in Council meetings and easily disseminated to clubs for their use in communicating with membership.
FWSA extends a hearty 'Welcome Aboard!' to Richard and we are looking forward to all FWSA membership being the beneficiaries of a more organized and energetic safety program.
