Far West Ski Association proudly recognizes ski clubs and councils for their outstanding contributions to organized skiing through a number of awards programs. Following is information that may be helpful to your club/council in participating in this awards recognition program.

Clubs may submit their newsletters and websites for review and judging throughout the year. In addition, they can submit a portfolio about their club involvement and activities during the year to be judged for the outstanding club award.

Beginning with the 2008 competition, clubs will be divided into four award classes using membership reported at the preceding FWSA Convention:

Class AAAA  -  Membership of 325+
Class AAA    -  Membership of 200-324 
Class AA      -  Membership of 150-199
Class A        -  Membership of 10-149

Tollakson Outstanding Club Award Beginning in 2007, clubs must submit a 2”, or smaller, binder portfolio for judging purposes.  Entry deadline is May 1st of each year.  For a summary of the most current judging rules: [Click Here].  For information on the history of the award: [Read On..] Wentworth Outstanding Publication Award Clubs submit their newsletters for judging during the year.  Entry deadline is September 30th of each year.  The deadline for the current year has been extended to November 15, 2007.  For a copy of the Entry Form [Click Here].
